Our Travel with awareness to Africa arise from Tamala Travel due to the need to become aware of our role as travelers. Our conscious journeys connect with our passion for travel and respect for humanity.
We are both Travellers. Fafa knows several African countries like Guinea, Senegal …
And I have traveled through North Africa and Central America. Our traveling experience gives us a personal vision of the concept of traveling.
Traveling is a learning experience that enriches our mind. We learn from each travel experience. We build the trip step by step.
“ ONE WHO COMES BACK FROM A JOURNEY, IS NOT SAME AS THE ONE WHO LEFT”
What does it mean to travel? What are trips with conscience?
Traveling in Catalan word ‘viatjar’ means road or way. Therefore, to travel is to walk, it is to travel on a road …
The words of Antonio Machado resound, ‘walker there is no road, the road is made by walking’. Which we could equate to a trip, ‘traveler / there is no road, it is travel when traveling. ‘
Let’s continue with the concept of conscious tourism, relatively new (formulated in Ecuador in 2011).
“Conscious tourism is a transformative life experience that generates personal growth that makes us better human beings.”
This new concept is based on the principles of sustainability and ethics and promotes the values of peace, friendship, respect and love of life as the essence of the tourist practice. It constitutes a pact of coexistence, responsibility, mutual respect and communion between the tourism agents of the sending and receiving communities, the tourist and the natural and cultural heritage.
Conscious tourism is a concept alive, dynamic and in constant construction, it is an experience of giving and take. “2
The words TRANSFORMING EXPERIENCE, coexistence, mutual respect, responsibility resonate … we would add the concept of equal relationship. We believe in our responsibility as travelers to establish equal relationships with local people.
How do we plan our Travel with awareness to Africa?
Considering traveling as an art, focusing the trip as a transforming lever of changes in our life, a process of personal growth.
“IN EVERY JOURNEY THROUGH THE GEOGRAPHIES WE LEARN SOMETHING THAT CHANGES US”
Andrés Pascual, author of the journey of life.
Traveling is an opportunity to connect with ourselves.
During this conscious and therapeutic journey, we offer you the opportunity to observe each moment, live here and now and connect with your values.
My name is Bea and as a psychologist and Gestalt therapist, I accompany you in this double inner journey. A journey of discovery of your own ‘roots’, while traveling with a group of people with the same concerns making a beautiful trip to the Smiling coast of Africa to discover the ‘Roots’ in Gambia.
The Routine and daily stimulation invade us without allowing us to give ourselves time to know and listen to what our body and mind need. What do you think if during the trip to an African country we take time to rediscover our own roots? Do you want to know your own self by looking through others? What are your values and when was the last time you reflected on them? Do you want to allow yourself to feel and identify those emotions and feelings?
In the parallel activities carried out during the trip (workshop of psychological narrative and emotional well-being), we will go into these and other questions.
TO KNOW AND LEARN FROM ANOTHER CULTURE, TO EXCHANGE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, TO KNOW A LITTLE MORE … THIS IS OUR TRAVEL THERAPY.
Traveling isone of the greatest sources of well-being, change and growth that exist … and may involve a change of attitude or a change of direction in our life.
